Open-Xchange at Telco Cloud World Forum, London

Apr 18, 2017

We’re delighted to announce that our own Neil Cook, Chief Security Architect at Open-Xchange, will be speaking at a panel at Telco Cloud World Forum in London on 26th April 2017.

The event, which runs from 25th – 26th April 2017, will focus on the importance of telcos keeping up-to-date with advances in cloud technology and new cloud offerings to not only retain existing customers, but attract new ones too. As competition between telcos becomes more intense, it is essential that they create new services and business models that help customer to digitise.

The 30+ companies alongside OX at this year’s event include the crème-de-la-crème of cloud computing: Liberty Global, Deutsche Telekom AG, Korea Telecom, Telefonica Business Solutions and Target are just some of the names we expect top insight from.

Representing OX, Neil Cook is hugely knowledgeable in data security, holding a variety of executive and leadership positions with market-leading service providers to build secure, scalable messaging solutions.

As Network, Data and Security Protection will be one of the key themes for this year’s Telco Cloud World Forum, Neil will be spelling out the various innovations in cloud security and why it’s important for telcos. In the interactive panel with Alex Hilton, Chief Executive of Cloud Industry Forum, Neil will talk through:

Creating trust and credibility with security servicesConsiderations when working with 3rd partiesMinimising security risks and maximising innovationMaking openness the heart of your security strategy

Neil will draw upon his expertise and passion for encrypted messaging, open source technology and key transparency to discuss how this will affect the cloud.

Despite cloud computing having been around for more than a decade, IT professionals are still sceptical about the cloud’s security capabilities. With telcos increasingly switching to cloud operations, security – and the question of network openness – has never been more relevant.

As well as network security and data protection, other themes at this year’s key themes at Telco Cloud World Forum include:

SME & Cloud ResellersCloud BrokerageNFV, Orchestration, 5G & Open SourceIoT, M2M and enabling new cloud offeringsCustomer segmentation & VAS

Telco Cloud World Forum will bring together the best minds in the cloud and telco business in what promises to be an unmissable event.

Neil Cook will be on the Innovations and Cloud Security Panel on 26th April, 12:00 – 12:40.
