2016 – Our Mission Continues

Jan 18, 2016

Dear Friends and Partners of Open-Xchange, 2015 was a phenomenal year at OX. As we look forward to 2016 we wanted to thank you again for your ongoing support and partnership. We’re tremendously happy with the successes and achievements of last year and wanted to share with you our ambitions and aims for 2016.

In 2015 we took some major steps in Open-Xchange’s evolution from being primarily a software provider to fully supporting our clients’ and partners’ customer engagement strategies as a full solution provider. Working close with our new colleagues at Dovecot and PowerDNS was an instrumental move, adding the worlds best and most used IMAP server (60% market share) and the easiest to set up DNSSEC server (90% market share). OX revenue has grown by almost 70 percent in the last year, with the number of sold seats for OX App Suite up by 45 million to a total of 165 million. New partners include Orange, most of the Liberty Global companies and Cablevision, to name just a few that we are allowed to name.

Our new OX meeting center in the heart of Cologne

We took the next steps and built a local presence in several key markets with local offices and native speaking senior experts. Besides the known offices in Germany and USA, we are now close to customers in The Hague (Netherlands), Helsinki (Finland), Paris (France), Madrid (Spain), Turin (Italy) and we have added our new meeting centre in Cologne (Germany).

For 2016, we continue our mission to provide you with best-in-class, open source software and carrier-grade services that enable you to built trustable services, constantly engage with your customers to improve customer satisfaction and retention.

As we’ve got some fantastic opportunities ahead of us, we plan to grow our business this year by at least another 50 percent. To match the growing number of customers we will organically expand the committed OX team with experienced specialists from 160 to more than 200 employees. We will also be expanding our presence in the APAC region to address the dynamic and profitable Australian/NZ and Japanese markets. You will hear more details on this in the coming months.

Again, your trust means everything to us! We look forward to grow our partnership and wish you all the best for the year ahead!
