OX Cloud underpins hoster’s new range of business email packages

xCloud now delivers a better business email experience to its customers, whilst driving revenue from email by offering a range of upsell packages, as a result of the partnership between the leading web hoster and the world’s largest independent email provider Open-Xchange (OX).

Until now, xCloud’s customers only had access to email as part of their domain package, but the partnership with OX means it now delivers a more feature-rich experience, based on OX Cloud, with its free basic email package now including email, calendar, contacts, and tasks, along with Antivirus/Antispam, and 300Mb of storage.

Its business users can then choose to upgrade to one of four paid packages, starting at $1 per month, depending on what they need, in terms of features and storage. Its premium paid email package includes 80Gb of storage, in addition to more email and collaboration features, including drive, document editing capabilities and advanced security, as well as OX AI. This delivers an AI-powered email inbox, which includes Adaptive AI, which matches a user’s tone, style, and workflow, email creation, email summaries, smart tasks, auto classification and text-to-speech.

As a result of the way OX has built its commercial model for OX Cloud, xCloud can control what it offers in each package, as well as the pricing, which allows it to include the features it knows its customers want and will pay for. This creates the opportunity to increase revenue and differentiate its products by offering specific upsell packages.

All its existing email customers will migrate over to OX Cloud, using a customized version of the OX migration tool, and new customers will be automatically set up on the new platform.

xCloud founder, M Asif Rahman, said:
“Working with OX has been a gamechanger for us. Not only does it allow us to deliver a more reliable and feature rich email platform, but it has also been designed to allow us to help grow our customer base and revenue. We can do this by creating an upgrade path with packages that include specific functions that we know our users will use and pay for. This will help us to drive ARPU, whilst
also improving customer satisfaction and retention.”

Andreas Gauger, CEO at Open-Xchange, said:
“We’ve been working with hosters across the world for over 20 years, and have developed a range of premium email and collaboration tools, along with flexible business models, to help them attract customers and then increase revenue with upsell packages. xCloud recognized how this can help to grow the services existing customers take and attract new ones to help increase revenue and reduced churn.”

xCloud delivers cloud hosting and server management for WordPress, PHP, Laravel, Node.js, AI Agents, and modern web applications that gives its customers full control over their websites, redefining how they build, host and deploy their websites; An integral element of its domain packages is a free business email mailbox.
