Tier 1 reports “Open- Xchange’s OX7: a cloud platform in the making”

Jan 4, 2012

We’ve started previewing Open- Xchange 7 – our next version coming in the second half of 2012. The industry analyst firm, Tier 1 Research, had a look and wrote up this report providing a nice explanation of what is ahead.

Open- Xchange 7 comes with everything you already have and would expect. In addition, it provides a platform for integrating applications so that our service provider partners can make those available to their customers that makes for a richer experience, deeper customer relationships and multiple occasions to upsell new services . It’s a natural next step for us – and a determined one with big opportunities for both us and our delivery partners.

As Tier 1 analyst, Daniel Beazer, writes in the report: “OX7 is a sleek impressive interface that certainly makes a traditional enterprise mail client look staid and clunky. But it’s really only a wrapper for the real meat – the app store.”

In the weeks ahead, we’ll let you know how you can see and try Open- Xchange 7 yourself. We welcome your feedback to make this the very best email and collaboration suite for you and your customers.
