Open-Xchange to host CalConnect XL in Cologne

Written by Christian Egle | Aug 22, 2017

We’re delighted to announce that this year we’ll be hosting the next CalConnect Conference in Cologne between Sept 25th – 29th 2017. As usual, the meeting is open to members and non-members and is split into two parts: The Developers Forum and Interoperability Test Event covering discussions about implementation approaches, protocol issues, data models etc., as well as the Conference itself offering a wide ranging agenda on technical and higher-level topics as well as informal sessions and additional meeting opportunities.

CalConnect, the Calendaring and Scheduling Consortium, is a non-profit organization with various members from the telecommunication industry, academic institutions and producers of open source applications, products and services. CalConnect’s purpose is to improve all aspects of calendaring and scheduling, in particular interoperability between solutions of different vendors, by developing and establishing open standards like iCalendar, vCard, CalDAV and CardDAV. This is a noble effort which Open-Xchange wholeheartedly supports!

CalConnect holds three week-long events each year to provide a useful platform for a diverse group of IT leaders to share, develop and expand their scope, all in an open and trusted environment. Following two conferences in the US, CalConnect XL in Cologne will bring together the best minds to discuss their ongoing projects and report on the day-to-day operations of their businesses in what promises to be an unmissable industry event.
