Future of Open Source Survey – The results are in!

Apr 19, 2013

The Future of Open Source Survey is something we always look forward to every year here at Open-Xchange and this year’s results, announced yesterday, made for some interesting reading.

A record 800 respondents have cited that the number one reason for choosing an open source solution was the better quality of software – that’s considered more important than freedom from the shackles of vendor lock-in and even the idea of open source software being nbso online casino reviews a low-cost alternative.

There can be no understating the significance of this result. Open source software has continued to improve at a startling rate, and, for some audiences at least, is now seen as more innovative than proprietary software. People’s perceptions are changing, and there is no doubting that the open source movement is approaching an almost irresistible level of momentum.

Thanks again Michael for the opportunity to play our part in this movement: follow him at twitter.com/mjskok and the conversation #FutureOSS.

Open your business and customer base to the revolution.
