For the 5th consecutive year, OX is a “Top Player” in Radicati 2019 Market Quadrant

It’s been another busy year at Open-Xchange, with the team focusing on new product launches, championing our vision of open-source software, and communicating the benefits of open source to the global community. A few highlights include the highly anticipated launch of OX Protect, our continued partnership with GoDaddy and the releases of OX Abuse Shield 2.0, OX App Suite 7.10.0, Next Gen email app 2.0 as well as the rollout of our new Monetization portfolio.

Continuing these successes, we are happy to report that Radicati has once again named OX a “Top Player” in the Messaging Platforms for Service Providers Market Quadrant 2019, making this the 5th consecutive year that we have featured amongst the best in the sector. The Radicati Group is the specialist research and analysis firm that focuses on email, security and messaging. With the worldwide Messaging Platforms for Service Providers market set to reach nearly $2.4 billion in 2019, and forecast to reach $2.8 billion by 2023, the growing demand for more advanced features and functionality to help providers offer attractive services to their subscribers is undeniable.

The criteria for this year’s quadrant for vendors were focused on scalable, reliable and agile messaging platforms designed to meet the needs of demanding service provider environments. To achieve “top player” status, vendors must be a market leader with products that offer a depth and breadth of functionality, along with a solid vision for the future. Our OX App Suite - which combines webmail with contacts, calendar, personal productivity and collaboration, mobile apps for mail and drive, as well as a strong focus on service provider needs and monetization opportunities - contributed to our leading position in this year’s report.

The report recognizes OX’s highly scalable platform and proven track record of scaling to millions of users, as well as its rich communication and collaboration functionality. It also highlights OX’s broad product portfolio, use of open standards and APIs, and flexible deployment options - which means OX App Suite can easily be integrated into existing environments or deployed as a turn-key solution on our OXaaS platform.

These strategies help service providers deliver the offerings they need to enhance their core services, and ‘generate incremental revenue while significantly reducing churn’, which was also a key metric of last year’s report when placing OX amongst the “Top Players”. The report also noted the continuing success of PowerDNS in providing a ‘foundation for secure messaging services’, whilst enabling network-based security products like OX Protect to provide parental controls and malware filtering for both consumers and SMBs.

Being selected as a “Top Player” for the 5th year in a row reflects the industry recognition of our consistent commitment towards developing our products and improving end-user benefits for OX customers across the globe.

With 2019 plans to launch a cross-platform messaging application based on the newly defined Chat over IMAP (COI) standard well underway, we are set to maintain our position as an industry leading provider dedicated to fulfilling our user’s needs year after year.
